Women's Basketball Men's Basketball Swimming & Diving Men's Wrestling Indoor Track & Field
  • Two Maverick sprinters in Teo Casados and Joseph Randolph represented the Mavs in the 200 meters at the Mar. 13-14 NCAA Division II Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia
  • Casados finished seventh and earned First Team All-America honors.
  • With his two team points, the Mavericks finished in a tie for 45th in the final team standings.
  • Randolph also originally advanced to the finals, but was later disqualified for a lane violation in his preliminary heat following a protest of the Pittsburg State coaching staff.
Outdoor Track & Field Baseball Beach Volleyball
  • The Mavericks recorded a perfect 10-0 record during their Spring Break trip to the Southeastern United States.
  • They won nine of their ten matches by 5-0 margins, claiming a Tuesday doubleheader sweep of Division I Tennessee Tech in Louisville, Tennessee before heading to Franklin Springs, Georgia and Emmanuel University for the rest of the week, playing twice on Wednesday, three times on Friday and three times on Saturday.
  • The Mavs went 5-0 against Division II opponents during the week handing Carson-Newman its only two losses of the season while also taking down the hosts twice.
  • The Mavs also won over Erskine on Wednesday.
  • The Mavs are now 14-4 overall and have won a program-record 14 straight matches
  • Redshirt senior Gracyn Spresser has matched the program record for career wins (68) alongside Sabrina VanDeList after Spresser and partner Ellie Ask went 10-0 in the top flight throughout the week.
  • They have now won 15 consecutive matches and are 15-3 as a pair.
  • The Mavs' 2-3-4 pairs also all went 10-0 throughout the week and are all a perfect 14-0 this season when playing together.
  • Those players are Ewelina Gacek & Ania Swartzendruber (No. 2), Mikala Henderson & Addie Ritterbush (No. 3) and Regan Rothley and Lauren Rohlwing (No. 4).
  • The Mavs are off this week and will then close out the regular season at the Wildcat Spring Challenge in Tucson, Arizona on Apr. 3-4.
  • The Mavs will then play at the Apr. 17-19 AVCA Small College Beach Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Men's Lacrosse Softball Men's Golf Women's Golf Women's Tennis
  • The Maverick women went 2-2 in their Spring Break trip to California, claiming wins over Westmont on Mar. 15 and last Tuesday (Mar. 17) over Menlo.
  • The Mavs also played at Biola and No. 34 Azusa Pacific on Mar. 16 and 18, respectively
  • Jade Brilhante and Catalina Ballon both went 3-1 in singles throughout the trip.
  • Brilhante beat a nationally-ranked opponent in No. 72 Karola Suviste from Azusa Pacfic.
  • Ballon and Delia Maier also went 3-1 together in doubles play throughout the trip.
  • Now 9-11 overall, the Mavericks will be on the road in Colorado Springs this weekend, playing a pair of NCAA Division III opponents at Lifetime Fitness in the northern part of the city.
  • They will take on the University of the Ozarks (Ark.) on Friday and the host Colorado College Tigers on Saturday.
Men's Tennis
  • The Mavs also played the same four opponents on their spring break trip to California.
  • The trip included battles at No. 25 Biola and No. 39 Azusa Pacific
  • Emil Hultman went 2-2 at No. 3 singles to lead the Mavericks' efforts.
  • All three doubles teams won at match during the trip as well.
  • CMU, now 5-12 overall, will look to snap a 7-match slide when they head to Colorado Springs this week, playing NCAA Division III University of the Ozarks (Ark.) and Colorado College on Friday & Saturday, respectively.
Women's Lacrosse Triathlon
  • The Mavericks will compete in the Virtual Super Sprint Invitational this Friday morning at 6:30 a.m. on campus.
  • They will compete in a 200-yard pool swim in the El Pomar Natatorium and will then contest a 4-mile virtual ride on their training bikes on the pool deck using the Training Peaks Virtual Software before transitioning to a 1-kilometer run around campus.
  • The Mavericks will then compare their times against Drury and Trine, who are competing on Saturday in their own locales in Missouri and Indiana, to determine the overall results of the virtual meet.
