2025 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior): Won the javelin throw at the RMAC Championships to claim the gold medal and First Team All-RMAC honors… Had a throw of 61.31 meters (201-2) to do so… Set the CMU record in the discipline with a throw of 64.83 meters (212-8) in the season-opening Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird in Pueblo, Colorado… Ended up 23
rd on the national performance list with that NCAA provisional qualifying mark, which was just one spot shy of NCAA Championship qualification… Competed in five meets, winning three times while finishing second in the other two… Was voted on to the RMAC First Team All-Academic squad... Selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District
® Team... Also named to the USTFCCCA's All-Academic Team for the second straight year.
2024 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Represented the Mavs the javelin throw at four meets after joining the program mid-way through the outdoor season… Won the event at the Maverick Invite #2 with a season-best and NCAA Championship provisional qualifying throw of 58.97 meters (193-6) before taking the silver medal and First Team All-RMAC honors with a conference champion effort of 58.77 meters (192-10)… Also competed in two Last Chance meets… Ranks fourth in program history… Was second on the RMAC season long performance list… Was also ranked sixth in the South Central Region and 49
th in Division II... Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
Before CMU: Spent two years at the University of Illinois, where he was a pitcher on the Fighting Illini baseball team…. Was a First Team Big Ten All-Academic pick in 2022.
Prep: 2021 graduate of Holy Family High School.
Personal: Is majoring in mechanical engineering… Aspires for a career in mechanical engineering to work in the aerospace or energy sectors… Son of Sid and Brenda Siefken… Brother Weston plays baseball at the Colorado School of Mines… Sister Jacquelynn is a softball player at UCCS… Enjoys fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose Colorado Mesa to continue my athletic journey as well as my mechanical engineering degree. I wanted to be back in the state of Colorado to be close to my family and have the opportunity to spend time outside.”
