Men’s Hoops earn two selections to RMAC Academic Honor Roll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released its All-Academic First Team and Honor Roll this afternoon with Colorado Mesa earning two selections.

The pair of Ben Kaye and Harvey White were selected to this year's Honor Roll squad as Colorado Mesa's two representatives with each of them owning GPAs above 3.30.

Kaye is sophomore who is majoring in Business Administration and just finished his second season with the team this spring.

White is also a sophomore with him majoring in Sport Management and being at Colorado Mesa the last two seasons. In addition to this honor, White was an All-RMAC Honorable Mention pick for his play on the court which was released last week.

The 10-man first team was selected by a vote of each institution's athletic communications directors, based on a combination of athletic and academic performances. To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must have a 3.50 or higher cumulative GPA, have used a season of eligibility and have competed two consecutive semesters at their current institution.

Those not selected to the first team automatically qualify for the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll, which includes a 3.30 or higher GPA requirement as well as the other criteria.

A total of 49 student-athletes, including the ten first team selections, were named to the honor roll.

Black Hills State's Came Lowe was named as the RMAC Academic Player of the Year.
