KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Colorado Mesa University men's basketball standout Ty Allred was announced as a member of the NABC DII Division II All-District Teams this morning as released by the organization.
Allred was selected to the second team for the South Central Region with him being one of 10 players selected from both the RMAC and Lone Star Conferences.
The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division II.
This is the first time in Allred's career he has earned this honor after being a First Team All-RMAC selection in the last two seasons and recently being selected as a D2CCA All-Region First Team member two weeks ago.
Allred was named to the All-District second team after being one of the region's top performers this season averaging 18.3 points per game while adding 7.1 rebounds. Each of those marks ranked in the top five of the RMAC.
In addition, Allred had the fifth highest points per game in the entire South Central region.
Allred shot 50 percent from the field while going 42.3 percent from three-point range and 83.4 percent from the free throw line.
He was top 10 in both field goal percentage and three-point field percentage in the RMAC.
Allred scored in double figures in 28 of the Mavs' 32 games this season while collecting 13 20-point performances and three 30-point performances.
He also ranked in the top five of the RMAC for blocks with 39.
Allred finished his career at CMU with 1,136 points scored while being the most recent player to reach the 1,000-point mark.
Only four players from the RMAC were represented on the teams with the Lone Star making up the six others.
Black Hills State's Cam Lowe was on the first team while his teammate Jaeton Hackley joined Allred on the second team. Western Colorado's Aidan McDowell was also on the Second Team.
Western New Mexico's Mark Bunker was named as the region's Coach of the Year.
