COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released their weekly golfer of the week awards on Thursday (Mar. 19) afternoon. Colorado Mesa's
Payton Panzeri was named the Women's Golfer of the Week after her play last week in Arizona.
Panzeri won individual medalist honors at the Southwest Minnesota State Challenge by four shots with a 36-hole total of 145 (+5) at Wigwam Golf Resort. It was the first individual win for a Colorado Mesa Maverick since 2024 when Crystle Querol won the Maverick Challenge.
The Meridian, Idaho native also finished in a tie for 13
th on the individual leaderboard at the Southwest Minnesota State Spring Invitational earlier in the week.
The RMAC Golfer of the Week honor was the first for Colorado Mesa since March 14, 2024 when
Cassidy Phelan earned the honor.
Panzeri and the Mavericks will be competing at the Southern Colorado Open beginning this Sunday at Walking Stick Golf Course in Pueblo, Colo.
