Chris Allen graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1986 where he was a three sport athlete, lettering eight times throughout his high school career in football, wrestling and lacrosse. He was named All-State in football and lacrosse in 1986. During the 1984, 1985 and 1986 wrestling seasons Chris was a 3 Time district champion and was awarded the Quickest Fall of 1 minute, 20 seconds on January 11, 1986. In 1984 he placed 6th, 1985 placed 4th and 1986 placed 2nd in state tournaments with a record of 26-1 losing by one point in the finals with 3 seconds.

Chris attended Mesa State College from 1986-1990 where he had a very successful Maverick football career as a starter in every game. In 1989 Chris received the Defensive Player of the Year and was rated the fifth best defensive lineman in small college football by the editor of the "NFL Draft Report." Several times during his four years at Mesa he received "Player of the Week." He was a two time All-American and a three time All RMAC First Team selection. During the 1989-1990 season he ranked second in the league in tackles, averaging 12.7 tackles per game. In 1990 he was a free agent draft pick by The Denver Broncos.

Information as of 2006: 
His success continued after his collegiate career as he was the President of the Builders Edge, Inc. and awarded the Outstanding Trade Partner by a general contractor. He has since sold his company and is at home with his family, marketing and distributing a whole food nutrition product called Juice Plus+. Chris's athletic success has continued as an adult. He has taken up golf and has won and placed in numerous golf tournaments. He also coaches his daughter's soccer team.

He and his wife, Heather, have been married 11 years, live in Lone Tree, CO, with their five year old daughter, Madison, two year old son Colton, and nine month old son Braydon. His hobbies include golf, tennis, snowmobiling, fishing and playing with his children.
