Hall of Honor
Information as of 2017: Kurt Kissner finished his football career as one of the all-time greats for the Mavericks. The Cedaredge native was named an All-American by every major outlet and earned Academic All-American for his work in the classroom in 2007. Kissner led NCAA Division II in sacks with 15.5 during his senior season.
He was a four-time RMAC All-Academic team recipient and three-time All-RMAC team representative. He finished his career with 29 total sacks ranking him third all-time and was invited to play in the Valero Cactus Bowl, the Division II version of the Senior Bowl, where he was selected Team Captain by the coaching staff.
Kissner graduated in the fall of 2007 with a degree in Business Finance and currently works for Encana Oil & Gas.
