 Robert Dale Tucker was a 1950 graduate of Rio Blanco High School in Meeker. He participated in football, basketball, and track while serving on the student council, and participated in Future Farmers of America, band, and choir.

Memorial Award for Outstanding Athlete while at Mesa. He graduated from Adams State with both his bachelor and masters degrees in physical education and industrial arts. Westley CregerTucker attended Mesa on an athletic scholarship and participated in football, basketball, baseball, and track earning all-conference honors in each. He was the first Coloradoan selected to the All-American Junior College team in 1951. He was awarded the

He gained the respect of students, athletes, parents, colleagues and friends with his athletic and coaching abilities, as well as his integrity and dedication. Along with his career, Coach Tucker was active in community groups, in his church and as a volunteer at the elementary school and the hospital, and remained a dedicated husband and father.  Junior High School, coached the Meeker swim team and little league baseball teams, and served as the athletic director. In 1995, the students of MHS honored him by dedicating the street between the two schools where he taught and coached as Bob Tucker Drive. Coach Bob Tucker was one of the most successful coaches in the history of Meeker High School.BaroneAdditionally, he taught and coached football and basketball at   Prior to his retirement in 1995, he served as the head football coach for 12 seasons, head baseball coach for 9 seasons and head girls' basketball coach for 5 seasons.  In 1966, Coach Tucker returned to Meeker High School as a teacher and coach.

  This scholarship is awarded each spring to a deserving senior student/athlete, graduating from Meeker High School.  The Coach Bob Tucker Memorial Golf Tournament is held in his honor to assist in funding The Coach Bob Tucker Scholarship.  Coach Tucker became an avid golfer, dedicating himself to improving his game in retirement.  He even challenged himself, further, by taking piano lessons in his sixties!  In 2007 the Bob Tucker Scholarship Fund was established in his honor. Coach Tucker demonstrated a passion and dedication to learning throughout his life. He not only played sports, he studied them.

Tucker passed away in 2006. He and his wife Jo had three children.
