Information as of 2010:  Texas League championship and Triple-A Portland Beavers. Baseball America named Randy ‘Best Managerial Prospect’ in 2008. Recently Hitting Coach with the San Diego Padres in 2010.  – 40, RBI – 239. Managed in the San Diego Padres farm system at Single-A Fort Wayne Wizards where he guided the team to a playoff berth. Double-A San Antonio Missions where he led the team to the homeruns round of the 1980 amateur draft. Played for 17 seasons and five teams (Philadelphia Phillies, Montreal Expos, Milwaukee, Oakland A’s, San Diego Padres). Played in the post season with the Oakland A’s (1993). Career stats; batting average - .259, doubles – 107, triples – 21,  and MSC individual game record tied for most runs in a game (6) versus Regis University and tied for Most Base on Balls in a game (4) versus Southern Utah State College…Ranks fifth overall in slugging percentage (.850). Drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 6RMAC) and MSC record for all-time highest batting average (.522). Holds RMAC(.522). Led the nation in batting in 1980. Holds Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference ( - shortstop (1980). NAIA All-America First Team selection ( National Association Intercollegiate Association). NAIA batting champion   – Baseball player
