Information as of 2001: Orville Boge and Don MacKendrick are being inducted into the 2001 Hall of Honor for outstanding service and contribution to Mesa State College athletics. Both of these individuals are retired professors from Mesa State College and have emeritus status.

In 1956, Mr. Boge and Mr. MacKendrick started volunteering their time to athletics. Orville, a chemistry professor from 1956-1996, volunteered as a timekeeper and scoreboard operator for football, basketball and wrestling for 40 years. Don, a history professor at MSC from 1956-1990,completed his final season as the official scorer at men's basketball games at the end of the 2000 season having served for 44 years at the scorekeepers' table. He also served as Dean of the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences from 1977 to 1990.

Jay Jefferson states, "It is almost unbelievable to have two individuals volunteer their time for such a long span of time and in addition, contribute financially to athletics. Each is truly a friend of MSC athletics."

Both Mr. Boge and Mr. MacKendrick live in Grand Junction.
