Four Lone Star Conference squads who are also part of the NCAA Division II South Central Region will also compete. That list includes Cameron, Lubbock Christian, West Texas A&M and Western New Mexico.

In total, five different stats will be represented with Colorado contributing four teams to the field.
Rare Hosts
Monday and Tuesday's tournament will mark the first time in nearly nine years that the Mavericks have hosted a tournament. CMU's last hosted a tournament on Oct. 10-11, 2016, when they held the Maverick Invitational/RMAC #2 at Tiara Rado Golf Course in Grand Junction. CMU finished third out of ten teams in that event.
In the Polls
The Mavericks were ranked 19
th in the first regular season edition of the
Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Polll, released on Friday. They had been receiving votes in the preseason edition.
The Mavs picked up 129 points in the top 25 polling of 22 member coaches.
Three-time defending RMAC Champions Colorado Christian are also still in in the rankings in the co-No. 14 spot. The Cougars received one first place vote after sitting eighth in the preseason edition of the poll.
RMAC rival CSU Pueblo is also in the poll in the No. 24 spot while Mines is still receiving votes as is West Texas A&M.

North Georgia moved in to the No. 1 spot of the Sept. 19 poll, flip-flopping spots with preseason No. 1 West Florida. Georgia Southwestern, Central Oklahoma and Lee round out the top five.
Eight different schools received at least one first place vote.

Going Low

In relation to par, the 15-under score of 273 was the second best in program history, shy only of the aforementioned 16-under score at the Stack Cougar-Burro Classic.
CMU's 2-day total of 563 was tied for the sixth best 36-hole score in program history.
Career Efforts
Dylan Everett and
Leo Lavalle both posted career-best efforts during the Travis Roy Memorial Invitational. Everett's second round score of 67 (-5) matched his single round career-best and helped him post a career-best 36-hole total of 136.

He also set a 36-hole best of 141, one shot better than his 2024-25 freshman season best. Lavalle's second round score of 65- is equal to the fourth best round in program history and is tied for second in relation to par.
Golfer of the Week
For his efforts at the season-opener,
Dylan Everett was named as the RMAC Golfer of the Week on Thursday. The honor is the first of the junior's career and came after his first collegiate victory.
Team Win
