  • RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll (2025-26)
2025-26 (Sophomore): Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll… Played in three tournaments as an individual in each, posting a 76.00 scoring average in eight rounds… Posted a season-best round of 69 to finish the San Juan Intercollegiate with a 222 (+9), where he tied for 42nd… Capped his season with a 72 in the final round at The Sam Proal Invite, where he also finished with a 54-hole total of 222 (+9) to tie for 45th in the field of 102… Tied for 30th at the Bob Writz Invitational with a 36-hole score of 164 (+20).

2024-25 (Freshman): Played in one tournament, posting a 54-hole score of 231 (+21) to finish 87th at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite as an individual golfer… Had a second round score of 72 (+2) at that tournament, his best.

Prep: 2024 graduate of Colegio Franco Mexicano… Coached by Rafael Alarcon in his golfing endeavors… Competed in two Interzonas, regarded as the most important junior tournament in Mexico… Won several regional titles and shared a podium with PGA Tour and LIV Golf winner Carolos Ortiz at the Guadalajara Country Club Championships.

Personal: Full name is Inigo Badial Garcia Mendez... Majoring in business administration… Aspires to become a professional golfer but also be involved in the business area… Parents names are Diego and Monica… Has a younger sibling— Ines… Enjoys playing a lot of sports, hiking, going to the gym and listening to a lot of music.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because of the golf team.  They are all very good players and people, who push me to be a better player, including coach Scott Sullivan. And also for the peaceful city.”
