NORMAN, Okla.— Colorado Mesa University's Luke Wagstaff was named as a NCAA Division II Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar for the second straight year, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Monday.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

In 2025-26, Wagstaff played in all 11 of the Mavs' tournaments and posted a 73.34 scoring average.  He also had two top ten finishes, one of which came at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, helping lead the Mavs to their first conference team title.

Academically, he was also one of the five Mavs named to the RMAC's All-Academic Honor Roll.

The McKinney, Texas native is majoring in business management and will be expected to help lead the Mavs in his senior 2026-27 season that begins in September.
