  • NCAA Division I Northern Arizona's women and RMAC rival Colorado School of Mines men and women will provide the opposition for the Mavericks in the 3 ½ day prelims/finals formatted invitational meet, which has typically been a bonanza of NCAA Championship qualifying performances in past years.
  • The Maverick women are ranked fifth in the latest monthly edition of the CSCAA NCAA Division II Top 25 Dual Meet poll while the Maverick men are ranked sixth.
  • The Maverick women have won 10 of the previous 14 editions of the CMU Invitational and took second behind Wyoming last year.
  • The Maverick men have won the last eight  and 13 of the previous 14 invitational titles.
  • Preliminary swimming sessions will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

  • The wins were the Mavs' third and fourth straight and have them heading into the RMAC Tournament on their longest winning streak of the season.
  • The Mavericks ended up tied for fourth in the conference standings and will be the No. 5 seed in the RMAC Tournament.  They will play at No. 4 seed Colorado School of Mines in Golden on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as the Orediggers won the head-to-head tiebreaker to earn the higher seed and home court advantage for the quarterfinal round.

  • New rankings will come out on Wednesday but will not include Tuesday's result.
