Biography
2023-24: Claimed a second straight all-America honor with another seventh place finish at the NCWWC National Championships… Won the Region VI title at 109 pounds to earn the trip to nationals… Also won the RMAC title as part of what ended up being a 10-match late season winning streak… Earned First Team All-RMAC honors by doing so… Ended the year with a 23-8 record and was tied for second on the team in total wins… Wrestled at 101 and 109 pounds with one win coming by forfeit at 116… Won nine matches by fall and was pinned just twice… Also had five wins by technical fall… Went 6-2 in duals… Named as a NWCA Scholar All-American for the second straight year… Also selected to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2022-23: Earned NCWWC All-America honors with a seventh place finish at the national tournament… Wrestled at 101 pounds in the second half of the season after going at 109 to begin the year… Finished second behind teammate Jennesis Martinez at the Region V Championships, forfeiting the final to her… Went 16-8 throughout the season… Was 6-4 in duals, mostly at 109 pounds… Won six matches by fall without being pinned… Also won six matches by technical fall margins… Won the Maverick Open title at 109 pounds… Named as a NWCA Scholar All-American.
HIGH SCHOOL: Wrestled for the Wildcats of Toppenish High School and coaches Alexio Garcia and Pepe Segovia…Two-time Washington State Champion.
