COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Keely Wieczorek was named the 2025 RMAC Women's Soccer Academic Player of the Year while being one of 10 Mavericks in recognition as the conference released its Academic All-RMAC team and honor roll list this afternoon.
Wieczorek, who was named as the conference's Goalkeeper of the Year yesterday, earns this honor while holding a 3.91 GPA in her career and majoring in Exercise Science. With that honor she repeats as an Academic All-RMAC First Team member this year while also being apart of it last season.
Joining Wieczorek on the First Team was also Kylie Wells for the Mavericks with the Senior being an Exercise Science major as well and owning a 3.72 GPA. She has been a two-time honor roll member with this being her first time being selected to the All-Academic First Team.
Wieczorek and Wells are two of 13 players to be selected to the First Team. Usually there are only 11 that make up the team, but there can be more based on ties in voting.
In addition, the pair were both named to All-RMAC yesterday with them being First Team recipients based on coaches voting.
On the honor roll, eight others for Colorado Mesa were represented with that group including Braelyn Baclayon (Sr., Nursing), Olivia Barrett (So., Exercise Science), Peyton Bundy (Sr., Business Administration), Sarah Dunn (Jr., Business Administration), Parker Mairs (So., Business Administration), Savanah Miller (So., Biology), Isabel Schauber (Sr., Biology), and Ally Wachtel (Sr., Business Administration).
Bundy, Schauber and Wachtel are repeat picks this season after being on the honor roll in 2024 as well.
To qualify for the honor roll, student-athletes need to maintain a 3.30 GPA or higher, be in at least their second academic year at the institution and use a season of eligibility. To make the more prestigious All-Academic First Team, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 GPA and be selected to the 11-player squad by a vote of the conference's sports information directors.
The Mavs will begin postseason play this afternoon when they take on Fort Lewis College in the Semifinals of the RMAC Women's Soccer Championship at 4 p.m. on Community Hospital Unity Field.
