Mines, 20-6 overall, also finished 10-4 in conference play but won the tie-breaker for the higher seed and hosting rights, thanks to their marathon, 5-set head-to-head win over the Mavs on Oct. 24.

Saturday's win allowed the Mavs to avenge a Halloween night RMAC Power Pod loss to the Hardrockers (10-16, 7-7 RMAC) in Denver while also ending their hosts' season as other results from around the conference dropped South Dakota Mines into a 3-way tie-breaker for the eighth and final spot in the RMAC Tournament, which Adams State won to earn the No. 8 seed and the right to face top-seeded MSU Denver, which shared the regular season title with UCCS.
On the
other half of the bracket, UCCS will be the No. 2 seed and will take on No. 7 seed Fort Lewis. CSU Pueblo defeated Fort Lewis to claim the No. 3 seed and will host Westminster, which got past South Dakota Mines on Friday and Black Hills State.
