Before CMU: 
Spent three semesters and played two indoor volleyball seasons at Seattle Pacific University from the Fall of 2023-2024 before coming to CMU to be a part of the Mavs' beach volleyball program in the spring of 2025... Joined the Mavs' indoor volleyball team in the fall of 2025.

As a Sophomore (2024 @ Seattle Pacific): Played in 57 sets and 19 matches, making ten starts as a sophomore in 2024… Recorded 109 kills and 44 blocks that season… Recorded a career-high 19 kills while hitting .410 on Nov. 2 against Alaska Fairbanks… Had eight kills without an error to hit .400 against national power Concordia-St. Paul on Sept. 13… Set a career-high with six blocks in that match.

As a Freshman (2023 @ Seattle Pacific): Played in four matches and the same number of sets as a freshman in 2023, recording a kill in her first three career appearances.

Prep: 2023 graduate of Oregon High School in Oregon, Wisconsin… Coached by Jenn Grulke... Earned Second Team All-Badger Conference as a senior and honorable mention status as a junior for indoor volleyball… Led the Panthers in kills as a junior and as a senior and was among the team's top three in blocking both years, as well… Named to the Monona Grove All-Tournament team for two straight years... Received the WVCA All-Academic award in 2022 and 2023.

Club: Played for Madtown Juniors and VC United… Coached by Michelle Furlong… Earned a national bid at the Windy City Qualifier… Placed first in the silver open division at MEQ’s.

Personal: Is majoring in international business… Would love to work in the fashion industry… Daughter of Jeff and Annabelle Barnett… Relative Sophie Nilsson runs track at John’s Hopkins… Enjoys hiking, jigsaw puzzles and gardening.
