For a program that is now entering its 11th year in existence, it is only appropriate to recognize the best players from the first ten years. From 2011-19, the Colorado Mesa University women's lacrosse team went from three losing seasons to start off its existence, to making their first NCAA Tournament appearance and producing their first two all-Americans all in the same year. In those nine years, the Mavericks produced a plethora of talented players that would go on make the program what it is today.

Paige Elliot
One of the most accurate shooters in recent history, Paige Elliot, had one of the biggest jumps for any player from the last decade when she became the record holder for most points in a single season.

In 2019, Elliot racked up 82 points from her 24 goals and 58 assists. She currently stands as eighth on the all-time list in career points, but holds both single season records for points and assists from her 2019 outing.

The Danville, CA native started in only six games in the first two years of career. However, her monumental 2019 season included 17 starts where she led the Mavericks to their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance. She led the RMAC in assists per game with 3.21 and was second in points per game with 4.63. That was good enough to earn Elliot All-RMAC Second Team honors

Lexie Chavez
Chavez was the first attacker in program history to earn multiple all-conference honors. From 2012-16, Chavez was named an All-WILA Honorable Mention, All-WILA Second-Team, and All-RMAC Second Team member.

She earned her All-MILA Second Team honor as a midfielder making her the first Maverick to earn all-conference honors at two separate positions. In her five years at CMU, Chavez started in 57 career games scoring 139 points, 95 goals, and 44 assists.

Chavez was a top three scorer in two of CMU's first three winning seasons, including her final year in 2016 when the Mavericks put up their first double-digit win season with a 11-4 record.

Kayla Lyall
The all-time leader in assists, Kayla Lyall, was just one assist shy of the century mark over her the span of her CMU career from 2014-17. During that span, Lyall averaged 1.65 assists per game, a program best, and was in the top five for assists among all RMAC players from 2015-17.

The San Ramon, CA native earned three consecutive All-RMAC Honorable Mention nods as well as three Academic All-RMAC honors.

Jessica Cook
CMU has produced some of the best middies in all of NCAA Division II over the last decade, and
Jessica Cook is no exception.

Cook is the all-time points and goals leader in CMU history with 225 total points and 177 goals from 2015-18. In her best season, in 2016, she racked up a team-high 69 points and earned her first All-RMAC First Team honors. The following year, in 2017, Cook was named to IWLCA All-South Region Third Team in addition to another All-RMAC First Team nod.

For two years, Cook was CMU's top scorer and also led the conference with a career-high 3.93 goals per game.

Olivia Hayden
Hayden is the first women's lacrosse player in CMU history to earn All-American First-Team honors. In her senior season, she recorded a program-record 62 goals, scoring in all 19 games and racking up 13 hat tricks.

Eight times in 2019, Hayden scored four or more goals in a game, and on two separate occasions she racked up six goals in a game. She also led the entire country in caused turnovers per game in 2019 with 3.47...Hayden leads all CMU players in career caused turnovers and caused turnovers per game.

Hayden's other career accolades also include 2019 RMAC Midfielder of the Year, 2018 IWLCA All-Midwest Region Second-Team selection, four All-RMAC selections, three RMAC All-Tournament nominations, and two RMAC Summit Awards.

Ashley Eickhoff
Eickhoff was there for CMU's transition from the WILA to the RMAC back in 2014, and is also the only CMU midfielder to earn All-WILA and All-RMAC nominations.

Back in 2013, Eickhoff was named All-WILA First Team as a freshman when she recorded 31 goals and 40 points. The following year, she was named to the All-RMAC Second Team and All-RMAC Tournament Team after totaling a team-high 42 goals.

Eickhoff earned her first all-Conference First Team honors in 2015Â when she led the team in both goals and points and scored five goals on five separate occasions, all in the same season. She capped off her career with her second All-RMAC Second Team selection in 2016.

Allie Henderson
Allie Henderson caps off the midfielders recognized as the first Maverick to earn all-Conference selections in all four years of her career.

Henderson was on the inaugural CMU women's lacrosse team and went on to lead the team to their first winning seasons in 2014 when the Mavericks made the transition over to the RMAC. She ranks fourth overall in career points with 164. She was the team's assist leader all four years of her career and currently stands third all time with 65 career assists.

Erin Koehler
Koehler was one of the first two Mavericks to be named an all-American as well as the first all-American defender in team history. In 2019, the New York native was second in the RMAC, behind
Olivia Hayden, in caused turnovers with 63, which puts her second all time in CMU history with 104 career total.

From 2016-19, Koehler went from starting zero games her freshman year, to never missing a single game or start in the remaining 51 games from her sophomore to senior year.

Koehler also is second in CMU history with 158 ground balls, 85 of which she accumulated her senior all-American year.

Lauren Elliot
A good defender is defined by consistency. Lauren Elliot embodied that trait her entire career as she played and started in every game for CMU from 2012-14.

Elliot was the first CMU defender to win all-conference honors when she was named to the All-WILA First Team in 2012. She followed it up with Second Team selection in 2013 and then an All-RMAC First Team nod in 2014.Â

Megan Lynch
Lynch succeeded both on and off the field during her CMU career. Because of her performance in the classroom, Lynch was named the RMAC Summit Award winner for three-straight years from 2014-16, as well as the 2016 RMAC Scholar Athlete of the Year.
On the field, Lynch earned three All-RMAC selections, she earned Second Team selections in both 2014 and 2016. She played in 59 career games and started in 55 of them. The Grandview graduate currently stands ninth all time in career ground balls and seventh in career caused turnovers per game.

Jill Pfeiffer
Jill Pfieffer holds the highest save percentage among all CMU goalies after four successful years defending the crease for the Mavericks.

From 2014-17, Pfieffer recorded a career .475 save percentage. In her best year, in 2016, Pfieffer led the RMAC and ranked fifth in the nation with a .512 save percentage. She earned All-RMAC Second Team honors that year.
Â
She has the most career wins of any CMU goalie with 28 despite playing less than 2,000 career minutes.
