AUSTIN, Texas— For the second straight year, Colorado Mesa University's
Justine Anderson has been named as a First Team NCAA Division II Academic All-American® for Women's At-Large Sports as selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Maverick women's lacrosse standout from Colorado Springs, Colorado had earlier been named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Women's Lacrosse Academic Player of the Year and was one of six CMU women from three sports to have earned CSC Academic All-District® honors.
A business administration major with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Anderson has racked up numerous on-field and academic honors in her CMU career. In 2025, she was named to the First Team All-RMAC squad for the third straight year while being named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) for the second straight time.
She led the Mavericks with 66 points, the third highest total in the RMAC, and helped CMU win a share of the RMAC Regular Season title for the second time in her career (2023).
In 2024, she was named as the RMAC Attacker of the Year and was named as a USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-American.
With her senior season still to come, Anderson already ranks fourth in program history for career points (171) and fifth for goals (120).
The CSC Academic All-America® Women's At-Large Team was selected by CSC membership from a list of 12 women's sports that do not have their own Academic All-America® programs. She was one of seven lacrosse players on the list of 15 top student-athletes on the first team unit. She was also one of just seven repeat Academic All-America selections and one of just three repeat first team picks.
Anderson was the only Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference student-athlete on the first team list.
