NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— The Colorado Mesa University women's lacrosse team earned Academic Honor Squad status for the sixth straight year while a program record-matching 11 individual student-athletes claimed NCAA Division II Academic Honor Roll plaudits, announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association on Wednesday.

The Maverick women, under the guidance of head coach Ashley Delaney, received the team Academic Honor Squad award for the tenth overall time.  That comes on the heels of winning a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Brechler Award for having the highest team GPA in the conference during the 2025-26 academic year.

The IWLCA honored a total of 357 teams from NCAA Divisions I, II, III and the NAIA were recognized, including 58 Division II programs.

The Mavs also had 11 players receive IWLCA Academic Honor Roll status, one of the highest totals in the country and a count that matches their program-record set a year ago.  That award requires student-athletes to be a junior, senior or graduate student and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The Mavs'  selections and their majors are listed below and include seven repeat selections in Justine Anderson, Sophie Astone, Sidney Edmonds, Cameron Flynn, Ella Freemon, Kenzie Streby and Olivia Turk.
