Lineup Look
Maverick Head Coach
Scott Sullivan has entered eight Mavericks for the upcoming tournament, shaking his team line-up slightly.
Following his impressive effort last week, freshman
Henry Starr has entered the top five and will play in the Mavs' fourth position behind
Leo Lavalle,
Dylan Everett and
Timmy Cavarno.
Jacob Gonzalez will play in the No. 5 spot.
Luke Wagstaff,
Baptiste Laborde and
Inigo Badial will play as individuals. Wagstaff had been part of the scoring five in each of the previous seven tournament this season while Badial will make his third appearance of the campaign.
This will mark the first time that both Maverick freshmen— Gonzalez and Starr— have been in the scoring five in the same tournament.
Weekly Honors
Henry Starr's second place finish and career-best tournament score of 207 this past Monday and Tuesday earned him
Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week honors on Thursday. The freshman out of Englewood, Colorado is the fourth different Maverick to earn what are now five combined awards this season.
No other RMAC program has had more than one award in 2025-26.
Starr's opening round of 68 in California also matched his best of his young Maverick career.
He made 13 birdies and a pair of eagles during the Coyote Classic, including three birdies and an eagle in the opening round.
New Favorite Hole
Maverick senior
Timmy Cavarno has found what has to be one of his favorite holes. He made an eagle on the par-5, 523-yard 16
th hole at the Oak Valley Golf Club during all three rounds of the Coyote Classic, helping propel him to the T-10 overall finish.
Cavarno now leads the Mavs with four top ten finishes this season.
