  • The Mavs will take on fifth-seeded Eastern New Mexico on Friday at 7:30 p.m. CDT (6:30 p.m. Mountain) in Denton, Texas
  • CMU advanced to the RMAC Tournament title game but saw their 18-game winning streak come to an end this past Saturday night when UCCS claimed a 63-61 win.
  • The Mavs had also won 11 straight home games since falling to the Mountain Lions in the first RMAC game of the year back on Dec. 5.
  • UCCS was the only team to defeat the Mavs in Brownson Arena this season.  CMU went 12-2 at home.
  • CMU had advanced to the RMAC Tournament Title Game for the first time since 2020, posting 72-46 and 68-53 wins over New Mexico Highlands and Black Hills State in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of last week's tournament.
  • The Mavs have won 12 RMAC Regular Season titles, including seven under 13th Year Head Coach Taylor Wagner, who will be leading the Mavs into the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time.
  • Wagner was named as the RMAC Coach of the Year for the seventh time in a vote of his peers.
  • The Mavs had three All-RMAC selections in last week's post-season awards release, including first team picks Olivia Reed Thyne and Kylie Kravig.
  • Reed Thyne was also selected as the RMAC Player of the Year for the second straight time and has now been on the first team in all three years of her career.  She was the RMAC Freshman of the Year in 2023 and is the first repeat winner of the Player of the Year award since Molly Rohrer of CSU Pueblo (2016-17 & 2017-18).
  • Kravig earned first team honors this season after picking up second team accolades last year.
  • Riley Hayes was a second team honoree.
