2025 Outdoor (Junior): Qualified for her third straight NCAA Championship meet while earning a trio of all-conference and a pair of all-region accolades… Ran in five meets… Earned First Team All-RMAC honors in both the 100 and 200 meters after claiming bronze medals in both of those events at the RMAC Championships… Also earned a Second Team All-RMAC honor in the 4x100-meter relay after anchoring the Mavs to a school-record time of 45.16 seconds to claim the silver medal… That time, which converted to 45.28 seconds with the altitude adjustment also garnered her and relay teammates Serenity Burnett-Perry, Sylvia Johansen and Kammi Merritt USTFCCCA All-Region honors… The effort also qualified the Mavs for the NCAA Championships… Went on to place 15
th at the national meet with a time of 45.69 seconds, second fastest in program history… Ran a career-best 200-meter time of 23.74 seconds to rank second in program history in the prelims at the RMAC Championships before finishing the finals in 23.78… Set a career-best of 11.47 seconds in the 100 at the Maverick Invitational… Broke the CMU Track & Field facility record with that time... Also ranks second in program history with that time… Was ranked second on the RMAC’s season-long performance lists in both individual events with the altitude-adjusted marks of 11.50 and 23.81… Was ranked fourth in the South Central region in the 100 to earn an all-region honor in that discipline… Was ranked 25
th and just shy of individual national championship qualification as well… Was ranked 35
th nationally in the 200… Won all three of her events at the Maverick Invitational, anchoring the Mavs to a time of 45.79 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay, fifth fastest in program history… Also anchored the No. 10 (45.99) and No. 13 (46.34) ranking teams at other meets… Named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll... Qualified for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team for the second straight year.
2024-25 Indoor (Junior): Qualified for her second straight overall and first NCAA Indoor Championship at the end of a record-breaking season… Competed in a team-high eight meets overall… Broke a 10-year old Maverick record in the 200 meters with a time of 24.03 seconds at the NCAA Championships en route to a 13
th place finish… Had qualified thanks to a silver medal winning time of 24.22 seconds at the RMAC Championships… Her converted time of 23.99 put her second on the RMAC season-long performance list and tied for 17
th on the national list while allowing her to qualify for nationals… Broke her months-old Maverick record in the 60 meters with a time of 7.43 seconds during the RMAC Championships… Also claimed the silver medal in that event… Was a USTFCCCA All-Region honoree in both events as one of the South Central Region’s top five performers throughout the season… Claimed First Team All-RMAC honors in both events as well… Was named as the RMAC Track Athlete of the Week on Feb. 27 after winning the 200 meters in 24.25 seconds at the RMAC Last Chance Qualifier… Claimed six other wins throughout the season, triumphing in each of her first five events at the first three meets… Had broke the CMU record in the 60 with a time of 7.46 seconds at the Mountaineer Open while also winning the 200 and 4x400-meter relay at that meet… Was named also the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2024 Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in seven meets, including her first NCAA Championships… Qualified for the national meet in the 200 meters after placing second in that event at the RMAC Championships… Ran to a wind legal season-best time of 23.84 seconds to win the silver medal and the First Team All-RMAC honors… Went on to place 21
st at the national meet with a time of 23.98… Had a wind-aided (+3.2) career-best of 23.56 seconds (23.63-converted) at the Maverick Invited to qualify for the national meet… Also earned Second Team All-RMAC honors with a fourth place finish in the 100 meters at the RMAC Championships… Posted a wind-legal season-best of 11.79 seconds at the Maverick Invite & Multi… Had a wind-aided (+2.6) best of 11.68 at the CSU Pueblo Spank Blasing meet… Also claimed a bronze medal in the 4x100-meter relay as part of CMU’s squad that finished in 45.93 seconds… Helped the Mavs set a then school-record time of 45.71 at the Franson Last Chance meet… Ranked 21
st on the final national championship qualification list in the 200 meters… Was ranked 49
th in the 100 with her converted time of 11.71… Was ranked 27
th nationally in the 4x100-meter relay… Was ranked second on the RMAC’s season-long performance list in both the 100 and 200… Earned a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team... Also named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2024 Indoor (Sophomore): Ran in the 60 and 200 meters at four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Earned a pair of Second Team All-RMAC honors after placing fifth in both events at the conference meet… Turned in a season-best time of 7.59 seconds in the 60 meter preliminaries… Finished the finals in 7.65 seconds… Had a season-best 200 time of 24.72 on a banked track at the New Mexico Team Open… Finished the RMAC Championship final in 25.18 seconds after running to a preliminary round time of 25.03 on a flat track in Spearfish, South Dakota… Also helped the Mavs to a sixth place finish in the 4x400-meter relay at the conference meet… Ended up fifth in the 60 meters and sixth in the 200 meters on the RMAC’s season-long performance lists… Her converted times of 7.61 and 24.72 were also both NCAA provisional qualifying marks… Was ranked 56
th and 59
th on the national lists, respectively… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2023 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Qualified in both the 100 and 200 meters, finishing 14
th in both… Also ran on both relays at the conference meet, helping the Mavs place seventh in the 4x400-meter with a time of 3:55.36, tenth fastest in CMU history… The 4x100-meter squad was disqualified… Had a wind-aided time of 12.06 seconds in the 100 at the CSU Pueblo Open before running a wind-legal time of 12.30 to place second at the Kit Mayer Classic… Was ranked tenth on the RMAC’s season-long performance list with her wind-aided and altitude-adjusted time of 12.09…. Had a season-best time of 25.20 seconds in the 200 at the CSU Pueblo Open… Helped the Mavs win the 4x100-meter relay in 46.50 seconds at the Kit Mayer Classic… That altitude-adjusted and NCAA Championship provisional qualifying performance of 46.62 ranked the Mavs second in the RMAC and fourth in the South Central Region… Also helped the Mavs to a win in the 4x400-meter relay at the Maverick Invite as the quartet posted a time of 3:56.80, 13
th fastest in school-history.
2022-23 Indoor (Freshman): Had a solid debut season, competing in six meets while qualifying for the RMAC Championships in both the 60 and 200 meters… Had a season-best 60-meter time of 7.75 seconds in the preliminary round of the Western Colorado Open… Had a 200-meter actual best of 26.01 at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic on a banked track before running to a time of 26.08 on a flat track at the RMAC Championships to place 13
th… Finished 16
th in the 60 with a time of 7.96.
Prep: 2022 graduate of Palisade High School… Coached by Jill Reetz, wife of CMU Assistant Coach Tim Reetz… Finished second in the 100 and seventh in the 200 at the 4A State Championships as a senior… Won the 4A Western Slope League title in the 100 with a PR time of 12.34 seconds… Had a PR of 25.44 in the final meet of the regular season… Also won the league title in the 300-meter hurdles, one of her ten total victories during her senior season… Had finished sixth in the 300 hurdles at the 2021 state championships as a junior… Also took sixth as a freshman in 2019 after winning the league title… Set a PR time of 45.75 in the prelims of the 2019 state meet.
Personal: Is majoring in nursing and plans for a career in the medical field… Daughter of Roxann Poulton and Jason Horton… Has two younger siblings— Addison and Cruz.
