Tournament Format
The men's and women's singles draws both feature 64 players, who will need to win six matches to claim the regional title. Those matches will played in the traditional best two out of three sets format. Matches in the round of 64 and 32 will use a 10-point third-set tiebreaker as needed. A full third set will be played from the round of 16 on if necessary.
Singles players who lose in the first round can sign up for a consolation draw, which will feature one round of matches on Thursday afternoon and the rest on Friday afternoon and evening. All of those consolation matches will be decided by 8-game pro sets.
The main doubles draw features 32 women's duos and 31 men's pairs, one of which has received a first round bye. Those matches will also be an 8-game pro set until the final, which will be the best two out of three sets with a third set tiebreaker.
There will not be any doubles consolation draw.
What's at Stake
The winners of each draw from each of the eight ITA regional championships from around the country will automatically earn an invitation to the ITA Cup, which will be played Oct. 16-19 in Rome, Georgia.
Should the winner of a regional, decline the invitational, the runner-up would be the first considered.
Eight additional berths will be granted for each draw at the national tournament with four of those being selected at large from the pool of the eight regional finalists while four others will be selected from the pool of regional quarterfinalists.
