Box Score 2 PUEBLO, Colo. — A 6-1 victory Friday night over Fort Hays State gave Colorado Mesa head coach Dan MacDonald his 300th career victory on the women's side of the program.
Earlier on the first day of the Pueblo Duals, the Mavericks defeated CSU Pueblo 7-0, and then hit the milestone after a lightning delay and being forced indoors to play. Ironically, MacDonald was in Topeka, Kan., on Friday, coaching the men's team in the Washburn Invitational. As the head coach of both teams, the wins go on his record, which improved to 300-235. MacDonald has won 227 duals on the men's side.
Colorado Mesa swept the Tigers in doubles, but Fort Hays State's Molly Gaddis won a straight-set match over Jade Brilhante (3-2 this fall) at No. 2 singles to tie things up.
