Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Maverick veterans Issy Coman and Makenna Livingston as well as freshman Devyn Rodriguez helped lead the Colorado Mesa University women's tennis team in the Colorado College Invitational, which was cut short due to rain.  The individual format tournament was played at Memorial Park on Saturday and Sunday, although the weather cut the tournament short on Sunday afternoon.
 
Coman went 2-1 in singles play, reaching the semifinals of the "A" draw while Livingston also bounced back from a hard-fought opening round to post two consolation victories while Rodriguez also went 2-1, knocking off Marta Garcia Matea of CSU Pueblo in a consolation match to help exact some revenge for Livingston, who had dropped a 6-7 (8-10), 6-2, 1-0 (19-7) to the Spaniard.
 
Both Livingston and Rodriguez also defeated Seward County Community College's Polya Nikolova.
 
In doubles, the Maverick duos of Coman/Livingston and Julianna Campos/Rodriguez both reached the semifinals of the "A" draw, winning their lone quarterfinal matches before the rain thwarted other playing opportunities.
 
Kristen Thomas and Delia Maier also won a consolation match in that portion of the tournament.
 
Thomas and Audrey O'Rear also won the Round of 16 "B" singles matches while Jane Steur and Kenna Kelley both reached the semifinals of the "C" draw after each won their quarterfinal matches after receiving first round byes.
 
Steur and O'Rear also won their lone "B" doubles match in the quarterfinal round before not being able to play in the semifinals.
 
The tournament was a tune-up for the Mavericks, who begin the team portion of their season this week on Friday and Saturday, playing four matches during the Pueblo Duals.
