PUEBLO, Colo.- After two days of competition, the Colorado Mesa women's tennis wrapped up the Colorado College invite with six top four finishes in singles and three of their four doubles teams in the top four. 

The A Flight saw Devyn Rodriguez play in the third place match, where she lost in a heartbreaking third set tiebreaker. The All-Maverick consolation final was played between Valentina Gonzalez and Eva Muraske where Muraske won in three set battle 6-3, 3-6, 10-5. 

The B Flight saw Sophie Hartman and Luciana Del Carlo competing for a spot in the final. Hartman beat Sabrina Larsen of Colorado College 6-2, 6-4 to book her ticket while Del Carlo lost in a third set tiebreak. Hartman ended up losing the final in straight sets but Del Carlo dominated her next match 8-1 to clinch third place. Ruby Robbins won the backdraw with an 8-1 defeat of Lina Mueller of Western New Mexico. Taylor Nokes and Catalina Ballon also played on some extra matches but both came up short. 

The doubles draw saw three of four doubles teams competing for a spot in the final. The Mav duo of Ballon and Muraske took on Rodriguez and Gonzalez with a spot in the final on the line. Ballon and Muraske won in a tight 6-4 battle while Hartman/Del Carlo won their semifinal match via a default setting up an All-Mav final that will be played back in Grand Junction. Meanwhile, Nokes and Robbins came up short in their only match of the day. 

The Mavs continue their fall season on Sept. 26 as they travel to Colorado Springs to play a couple of dual matches. They will first take on Fort Hays State at 11 a.m. and then play Colorado College at 2:30 p.m. Both matches are set to take place at Memorial Park.
