MANHEIM, Pa.— Fifteen Colorado Mesa University men's wrestlers were named as NCAA Division II Scholar All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association, the organization recently announced.
The Mavs' 15 honorees are equal to the second most of any team in the country alongside McKendree. Only Nebraska-Kearney, which had 19 honorees, had more.
The Maverick list of honorees includes now 4-time honorees
Tyler Doyle and
Oran Huff.
Owen Cline has now been recognized in three straight seasons.
Sammy Mobly,
Keyton Young and
Brady Samuelson are also repeat honorees.

To be eligible for section, wrestlers must meet one of these three criteria:
- All-American at the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championships and a 3.00 GPA
- National Championship Qualifier and a 3.25 GPA
- Competed in four or more events and a 3.5 GPA
The Mavericks also received the Division II Team Scholar All-America award finishing 23
rd in the academic standings with a 3.264 GPA calculation.
