2024-25 (Redshirt Freshman): Finished the year with a 4-8 record while wrestling at 197 pounds in four open tournaments… Was named as a NWCA Scholar All-American and to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2023-24 (Freshman): Redshirt season… Wrestled unattached in five open tournaments throughout the season at 197 pounds, compiling a 5-9 overall record… Placed second at the Utah Tech Stampede.

Prep: 2023 graduate of Roaring Fork High School… Wrestled for Basalt High School and Coach Keegan Gilligan… Finished third at the state tournament as a senior for the Longhorns.

Personal: Is majoring in fire science and wants to become a full-time firefighter… Son of Jerod and Sharon Samuelson… Has two brothers— Ruben and Colby… Ruben is also on the Maverick squad… Enjoys hunting, fishing and being outside.
