NEW ORLEANS— Colorado Mesa University's
Tim Reetz was named as the NCAA Division II South Central Region's Men's Indoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced on Monday.
Reetz, the Mavs' associate head track & field coach, guides the Maverick sprinters, hurdlers and relay units.
In 2025-26, he guided a pair of NCAA Division II Championship qualifiers in the 200 meters, including
Teo Casados who claimed First Team All-America honors with a seventh place finish at the national meet.
Casados also won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title in the 60 meters with a school-record time of 6.99 as the Mavs had five of the eight men in the conference final in that event, racking up 26 team points in that event alone to help lead the Mavs to a third place team finish.
Joseph Randolph, who also competed at the NCAA Championships, won the RMAC Championship in the 200 meters with a Mountaineer Field House record of 21.45 seconds. Randolph also broke Casados' school-record with a time of 20.92 earlier in the season.
