GOLDEN, Colo.— Justin Thompson broke his own long jump school record as he and women's pentathlete

Thompson jumped 7.59 meters (24 feet, 11 inches) to win the event while going two centimeters further than his previous record, which was also set in the facility, known as a good environment for jumping success. He will rank as high as fifth in Division II this season depending on other weekend results.
