2022-23 Indoor (Redshirt Senior): Competed in four meets in his first competitive action in nearly three years… Contested the heptathlon in three meets, including the RMAC Championships… Finished 11
th at the conference meet with a score of 3,506 points after turning in a season-best of 3,568 at the season-opening Mountaineer Open & Multi… His converted score of 3,587 ranked him 12
th on the RMAC’s season-long performers list… Set a career-best shot put mark of 10.11 meters (33-2) during the RMAC meet… Had other season-bests of 7.74 seconds (60), 5.79 meters (19-0) in the long jump, 1.77 (5-9.75) in the high jump, 8.98 (60 Hurdles), 3.35 meters (10-11.75) in the pole vault and 3:54.71 in the 1,000 meters.

2019 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore) at CMU: Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships... Took third in the 110-meter hurdles at the conference meet to claim First Team All-RMAC honors... Had a season-best of 15.29 in that discipline to rank fifth in program history and tenth on the RMAC season-long performance list at 15.33 (converted)... Also scored in the in the decathlon with a season-best score 4,513 points despite not running the 1,500... Other season-bests were 11.69w (100), 54.59 (400), 1.78m/5-10 (high jump), 3.67m/12-0.5 (pole vault), 6.16w/20-2.5 (long jump), 9.91m/32-6.25 (shot put), 29.14m/95-7 (discus) and 38.84m/127-5 (javelin).
2019 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore at CMU: Competed in five meets, including the RMAC Championships, where he took fifth in the 60-meter hurdles to earn Second Team All-RMAC honors... Had a time of 8.29 seconds at that meet after running a season-best of 8.22 in his Maverick debut at the Western Colorado Open... Ranks fifth in program history with that time, which with that altitude conversion (8.26), put him seventh on the RMAC's season-long performance list... Was also ranked seventh in the RMAC for the heptathlon at 4,616 (converted) after turning in a score of 4,576 points at the Mines Alumni Classic & Multi... Is tied for fourth in program-history with that score... Also stands seventh in the 1,000m (2:58.18)... Other season-best marks were 7.21 (60m), 1.73m/5-8 (high jump), 6.67m/21-10.75 (long jump), 3.20m/10-6 (pole vault) and 9.75m/32-0 (shot put).
2018 Outdoor (Sophomore) at Wyoming: Did not compete.
2017-18 Indoor (Redshirt Freshman): Competed at two meets... Won the 55-meter hurdles in 7.76 seconds at teh Wyoming Power Meet on Dec. 7 while taking fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.23m (10-7)... Ran the 60-meter hurdles in 8.55 seconds at the Colorado Invitational.
2017 Outdoor (Freshman) at Wyoming: Ran the 110-meter hurdles at five meets, posting a season-best time of 15.30 seconds at the Jack Christinsen Invitational... Also ran the 400-meters at the Rams vs. Cowboys Dual, posting a time of 58.89 seconds to finish third, one of three total top-5 finishes throughout the campaign.
2016-17 Indoor (Freshman) at Wyoming: Redshirt season.
Prep: Won the 2016 4A State title in the 110-meter hurdles as a senior at Palisade HS... All-State team selection... Also competed in the 300-meter hurdles, long jump and 4X200-meter relay at for the Bulldogs and Coach Tim Reetz, now CMU's assistant coach... Named as the 2015 Male Western Slope League Athlete of the Year... Was ranked in the nation's top 20 for the indoor 60-meter hurdles with a personal best of 8.10... Other PR's were 14.40 (110 Hurdles), 21-6 (LJ), 42-6.75 (SP) and 22.64 (200)... Qualified for the state meet in 12 events in four years... Earned seven varsity letters including three in football and four in track and field... Was a 4-time academic all-state honoree in both sports.
Personal: Is majoring in applied mathematics... Son of Robert Shuman, who was a tennis player in college... Has two sisters, Kate and Alyson... Alyson plays golf at Lewis University in Illinois... Wants to become a track and field coach.
