2025 Outdoor (Junior): Ran in five meets, focusing solely on the hurdling events… Qualified for the RMAC Championships in both hurdling disciplines… Finished eighth in the 400 hurdles (57.29) after setting a season-best time of 54.26 seconds in the preliminaries… Ranks fourth in program history with that time… Also finished ninth on the RMAC’s season-long performance list with his altitude-adjusted time of 54.37… Finished 12
th in the 110 hurdles at the conference meet with a time of 15.26 seconds… Went on to set a wind-aided season-best of 14.96 (+2.2) at the Franson Last Chance Meet in Azusa, California… Was ranked 11

2024-25 Indoor (Junior): Competed in six meets, concentrating mostly on the 60-meter hurdles… Ran to a career-best time of 8.65 seconds to finish 13
th at the RMAC Championships… Placed third in that event in four of his five regular season meets… Also ran the 400 meters at three meets, recording a season-best time of 52.84 at the ASU Qualifer #2 (Jan. 25)… Ran the 200 meters at the ASU Qualifier #1, finishing in 23.56 seconds… Named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll.
2024 Outdoor (Sophomore): Named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team… Also earned a spot on the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll… Competed in the hurdling events at four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Finished 11
th in the 110 with a time of 15.62 seconds… Had a wind-aided season-best of 15.31 at the CSU Pueblo Spank Blasing meet… Had a season-best of 56.09 seconds in the 400 Hurdles at the RMAC Championships, finishing 12
th.
2023-24 Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Contested the heptathlon at three… Scored 4,427 points to finish sixth and earn second team all-conference honors at the RMAC Championships… Ranks tenth in program history with that personal-best mark… Was eighth on the RMAC season-long performance list with the converted score of 4451… Set a career-best pole vault mark of 3.50 meters (11-5.75) during the meet… Also had a season-best long jump mark of 6.37 meters (20-10.75) during the conference meet… Finished the conference meet with a season-best1000 time of 2:59.94… Had other season-bests of 1.73 meters (5-8) and 9.65 meters (31-8) in the high jump and shot put, respectively, at the Mines Winter Classic & Multi… Had running season-best times of 7.26 (60) and 8.72 (60 Hurdles)… Earned a spot on the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2023 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Qualified in three events, but competed only in the 110 and 400-meter hurdles… Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the 400-meter hurdles after placing fifth with a finals time of 55.34 seconds… Had a season-best time of 55.24 in the preliminary round… Was ranked eighth on the RMAC season-long performance list with an altitude-adjusted time of 55.35… Also finished 12
th in the 110 hurdles at the conference meet with a season-best time of 15.71 seconds… Contested the decathlon for the first time at the Maverick Invite, finishing second with 5,507 points… Was also ranked ninth on the RMAC season-long performers list… Set six season and career-bests during that: 11.23 (100m), 10.20m (33-7.5) (shot put), 51.88 (400m), 26.55m (87-1) (discus throw), 33.86m (111-1) (javelin) and 5:16.79 (1500m)… Had a wind-aided season-best long jump mark of 6.71 meters (22-0.25) at the CSU Pueblo Open while leaping 6.48 meters (21-3.25) during the Maverick Invite decathlon… Also cleared 1.59 meters (5-2.5) and 3.30 meters (10-10) in the high jump and pole vault during the decathlon… Anchored the Mavs to a 4x400-meter relay time of 3:18.62 at the CSU Pueblo Open, a time that ranks ninth in program history.
2022-23 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Contested the heptathlon at three of the meets… Finished ninth with a score of 4,236 points at the RMAC Championships after setting a season-best score of 4,279 points to finish sixth at the Mines Winter Classic & Multi, ensuring his RMAC Championship qualification… Was ranked tenth on the RMAC season-long performers list with a converted score of 4,315 points… Had scored 4,016 points in his first collegiate meet, the Mountaineer Open & Multi, placing third… Set five of his individual discipline season-bests between the RMAC Championships and Mines meet, including a 1,000-meter time of 2:58.94 to rank eighth in CMU history at Mines… Also had a 60-meter hurdle season-best of 8.80 seconds at that meet… Had a season-best time of 7.14 in the 60-meter dash at the Mountaineer Open & Multi… Also had a season-best shot put mark of 9.52 meters (31-3) in the opener… Other season-bests were 6.56 meters (21-6.25) in the long jump, 1.65 meters (5-5) in the high jump and 3.35 meters (10-11.75) in the pole vault.
Prep: 2022 graduate of Moffat County High School… Was the 2021 300-meter hurdle state champion for the Bulldogs and Coach Todd Trapp… Finished second as a senior in 2022… Was also a member of multiple high relay finishes and was a 110-meter hurdle state qualifier… Had a 300 hurdles PR of 39.19 and a 110 PR of 15.93… Set the latter en-route to a league title in 2021…. Also won the 300 title and placed second in the 100-meter dash at the 2021 league meet… Was an academic all-state honoree in both 2021 and 2022.
Personal: Is majoring in nursing and aspires to become a nurse anesthesiologist (CRNA)… Son of Kip and Jill Hafey… Has three siblings— Kaden, Ethan and Ian.
