2024 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior): Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Had career-best marks of 37.11 meters (121-9) in the discus throw and 36.68 meters (120-4) in the hammer throw at the CSU Pueblo Spank Blasing meet… Turned in a season-best shot put mark of 12.42 meters (40-9) at the Maverick Invite & Multi… Competed in the shot put and discus throw at the RMAC Championships… Placed 13
th and 19
th in those events, respectively… Claimed a spot on the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2023-24 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Competed in the shot put at five meets, including the RMAC Championships… Improved throughout the season, peaking with a season-best mark of 12.23 meters (40-1.5) at the conference championships… Finished tenth… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2023 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed in each of the team’s first four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Scored two team points with a seventh place finish in the shot put at the conference meet… Set the former (since-broken) CMU outdoor school-record of 12.97 meters (42-6.75) to do so… Also placed 20
th in the discus throw at the RMAC Championships with a throw of 33.55 meters (110-1)… Had a season-best of 36.39 meters (119-5) at the Maverick Invite… Also threw the hammer throw at each of the first three meets of the year, recording a season-best of 36.47 meters (119-8) at the Kit Mayer Classic.
2022-23 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed in eight meets during her first season at CMU… Set the former (since broken) CMU indoor shot put record of 13.03 meters (42-9) at the Wes Lavong Open… Finished ninth at the RMAC Championships with a mark of 12.38 meters (40-7.5)… Was seventh on the RMAC season-long performers list… Also contested the weight throw at her first three meets, recording a season-best of 12.82 meters (42-0.75) at the Western Colorado Open.
2021-22 Indoor (@ CSU Pueblo): Competed in two meets during the fall semester… Had a season-best shot put mark of 12.33 meters (40-5.5) at the Mines Alumni Classic and a weight throw mark of 10.73 meters (35-2.5) a week later at the Western Colorado Open.
2021 Outdoor (@CSU Pueblo): Competed in six meets for the ThunderWolves, including the RMAC Championships… Finished tenth at the conference meet in the discus throw with a career-best effort of 37.65 meters (123-6)… Finished 14
th in the shot put with a season-best mark of 11.55 meters (37-10.75)… Competed in the hammer throw and javelin throw at the CSU Pueblo Open/Early Bird, her lone attempts at those disciplines… Recorded marks of 32.52 meters (106-8) in the hammer throw and 25.96 meters (85-2) in the javelin.
2020-21 Indoor (@ CSU Pueblo): Competed in two meets during the COVID-shortened season… Set a season-best weight throw of 11.65 meters (38-2.75) in a Jan. 23 dual against UCCS… Had a season-best shot put mark of 11.41 meters (37-5.25) at the Mines Front Range #4.
2020 Outdoor (@ CSU Pueblo): Season canceled due to COVID.
2019-20 Indoor (@CSU Pueblo): Competed in the shot put and weight throw in four meets for the ThunderWolves… Set a career-best weight throw mark of 11.80 meters (38-8.75) at the Mines Winter Classic Invitational… Had a season-best shot put effort of 11.03 meters (36-2.25) at the Mines Friday Night Invite.
Prep: 2019 graduate of Saint Joseph Catholic High School… Was a 2-time 2A State Champion in the discus throw… Also won the state shot put title as a senior in 2019 after finishing as the runner-up as a junior in 2018.. Was a 3-time all-area selection in basketball and a 2-time pick in volleyball… Was a National Honors Society member from 2017-19… Was the Jayhawks’ student body president in 2019.
Personal: Is majoring in human resources… Would like to run a human resources department of a company in New York City… Also wants to open a spin studio and a potter studio… Daughter of Nancy and Joe Tomon… Has two older sisters— Kathleen and Elizabeth, who were both RMAC student-athletes at the Colorado School of Mines… Enjoys throwing potter and doing anything outside.
