GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Colorado Mesa women's soccer will add two more players to the Fall 2021 roster, announced Friday by head women's soccer coach,

Madison DeHerrera returns to the Colorado borders after playing for the Thunderbirds of Southern Utah University. The Arvada, native appeared in 18 games during the 2019 season, scoring her first collegiate goal against Northern Arizona (Sept. 29). She tallied 591 minutes throughout her freshman campaign, and was earned Big Sky All-Academic honors.
A graduate of Ralston Valley High School, DeHerrera competed with Broomfield Soccer Club and was a member of the Colorado State Cup Championship team in 2016 and 2019.
COACH REMEC ON MADISON:
"We are excited to welcome Maddie to our Women's Soccer program. Maddie has played at some of the highest levels in the country through both her club and collegiate teams. She will bring a sharp technical ability and presence to the midfield. Maddie is a driven individual and will help push our program to reach the next level."
Adding to the Maverick offensive attack is Isabella Munoz, a center forward out of Manzano High School and AUFC Thorns soccer club in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
David Castro, Broomfield Soccer Club, Director of Coaching
"Maddie DeHerrera is one of the most technically talented players I have ever had the pleasure to coach. Her vision, decision-making, and accuracy on set pieces makes her a dangerous player."
COACH REMEC ON ISABELLA:
"We are happy to add Bella to our Maverick Women's Soccer family. Bella is a dangerous attacking player who will look to create her own scoring opportunities in front of goal. She is a great teammate and person, and we're excited to get her into the Colorado Mesa environment."
Josh Wilmot, Head Coach of AUFC Thorns
Bella Munoz is truly a special player. Players like Bella do not come along too often and we have been extremely fortunate to have her lead our group. She has had a huge impact on players and us as coaches over the past couple of years. Bella is a strong, hardworking, technical player. She is a true teammate, supporting and encouraging, to all that are around her. Through her lead-by-example attitude, Bella has become a leader on and off the field.
The two players will join Mackenzie Armstrong, Angelique Siguenza, Maria Martinez, Olivia Divine and Mira Houck who signed with the Mavericks earlier in the Spring.
