Mavs earn five selections to USC All-Region Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches released their All-Region teams for the 2025 season this week, with the Colorado Mesa University women's soccer team earning five selections.

Earning a spot on all three teams, Keely Wieczorek was the Mavericks' lone pick to the First Team while Ally Wachtel earned a nod to the Second Team. The trio of Olivia Barrett, Sarah Dunn and Kylie Wells were all selected to the Third Team.

This comes as the second time in both Wachtel and Wells' careers that they have earned USC All-Region with both being previously selected in 2023. Wachtel was a First Team pick that year with Wells on the Second Team.

Wieczorek, Wachtel, Barrett and Wells are also multi All-Region picks this year with each of them earning selections to the D2CCA All-Region squad as well.

Wieczorek leads the group on this year's list as she finished as one of the best statistical goalkeepers in the country, totaling 15 shutouts, 53 saves and a still standing, nation-leading .914 save percentage. Wieczorek has totaled 35 shutouts in her career at Colorado Mesa to own the program record while also being named back-to-back RMAC Goalkeeper of the Year.

Wachtel, one of the two seniors to be represented on this list, was a mainstay defender for four seasons at Colorado Mesa as she finished this year with one goal and one assist while totaling the second most minutes on the team. Wachtel helped lead a CMU defense that limited opponents to just 0.30 goals per game which still stands ranked as No. 1 in the nation.

Barrett and Dunn were other large parts of that defense with each of them appearing in all 20 games this season and Dunn being the minutes leader on the squad. Barrett finished fourth in minutes played as well.

Dunn totaled three goals and two assists on the year while Barrett had two goals and two assists. Barrett was also a two-time RMAC player of the week selection.

Wells is the other senior to be selected to this list with the forward leading the Mavs' offensive categories this season, totaling nine goals and three assists for 21 total points. Wells recorded five game-winning goals and had one brace in 2025 as she finishes her career at CMU top-10 in both points and goals.

A total of 19 players from the RMAC were selected on this year's USC South Central Region squad with Colorado Mesa being one of four schools to represent five different players.
