Wieczorek garners second All-American honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Colorado Mesa's Keely Wieczorek was named as an All-American by another organization this week as the United Soccer Coaches announced the Men's and Women's Soccer All-America teams following the 2025 season.

Being named as the first Maverick all-American since 2023 and first Goalkeeper to earn this award since 2002, Wieczorek was named to the Second Team on this year's release as she brought together one of the program's best statistical seasons in history.

The last time a goalkeeper earned this award from the United Soccer Coaches was Lindsay Blose (Icenogle) back in 2002.

Wieczorek finished 2025 with a total of 15 shutouts, 53 saves and a current nation-leading .914 save percentage while allowing just five goals total on the season, including none given up in conference play.

Wieczorek currently has 35 shutouts in her career for the program record while having recorded the second most in the nation this season.

Some of her accomplishments this season include:

        ·       NCAA Statistical Champion for goals against average (0.263) – Pending the rest of the NCAA Tournament

        ·       RMAC & School Record for goals against average (0.263)

        ·       School Record for save percentage (.914), which is currently tied for the NCAA lead School

        ·       Record 15 shutouts, School Record

        ·       RMAC Record 12 consecutive shutouts and shutout streak (1159:27)

        ·       6th longest shutout streak in D-II history (1159:27)

        ·       School Record for Career Goalkeeper Wins (46)- So far

        ·       School Record for Career Shutouts (35)- So far

Among the three-team list, four different players from the RMAC were represented as All-Americans while the South Central Region had a total of six players make it.
