BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Golfstat released the first men's golf team and individual rankings last night (Nov. 17) following the conclusion of all the tournaments that took place this fall. Colorado Mesa was ranked No. 16 in the fall rankings after competing in three tournaments with just one canceled due to weather this fall.
The rankings take into account a multitude of metrics that include comparative record, relative percentage, adjusted scoring average, and strength of schedule. The Mavericks finished the fall with an adjusted scoring average of 72.85.
The Mavericks started the fall off with back-to-back second place finishes at the Mile High Shootout and South Central Region Preview. They closed out the fall with a fifth-place finish at the Samuel Proal Invite in Pueblo.
Senior
Kyle Pearson is the top ranked individual for the Mavericks, checking in at No. 24. Pearson has a 72.04 adjusted scoring average and is 0-4 against opponents ranked higher than him but is 23-3 record against opponents ranked 26-100. He is third ranked golfer in the RMAC behind No. 3 Jamie Roberts of CSU-Pueblo and Tim Amundson of Mines at No. 5.
