Taylor Hershey and
Kylie Simons both recorded 8-0 pro-set wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles against their Tiger opponents. Beckley and Kirby then defeated Simone Hall and Annie Zlevor of CC in 8-2 pro-set match to give the Mavericks a 3-0 lead as every match was counted towards the team score, per Division III rules.
Playing in her hometown, Simons then took advantage of a rare opportunity to be in the team lineup in singles as well as she recorded one of the Mavs' three 6-0, 6-0 sweeps at No. 6 singles over Carter Norfleet.
Hansen and Hershey also scored victories by those same margins at No. 4 and 5 singles, respectively.
