TEMPE, Ariz.— The Colorado Mesa University men's and women's tennis teams as well as a program 18 of their individual players received recognition for their academic successes from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, which announced its annual academic awards on Tuesday.
The Maverick women received All-Academic Team status for the straight year after posting a 3.68 combined GPA during the 2024-25 academic year, well over the 3.2 requirement for qualification.
The Maverick men also received the recognition for the second straight year after an even better 3.74 mark.
Head Coach
Dan MacDonald's Mavs also smashed their program record with the 18 individual 18 ITA Scholar athletes, five more than the program had had in 2022, 2023 and 2024. To receive that award, individual student-athletes must have registered a 3.5 or higher GPA during the academic year.
