2025-26 (As a Sophomore): Named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team… Received an ITA Scholar-Athlete award for the second straight year… Posted an 8-19 singles record, including a 3-14 record in duals… Played mostly at No. 6, going 3-13… Went 7-16 overall in doubles, including a 5-13 dual record… Played at No. 3 alongside three different partners, going 3-9 with Jamison Pfingston, 2-3 with Andrew Lock and 0-1 with Gavin Hutter.
2024-25 (As a Freshman): Received an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award… Was also named to the Academic All-PacWest team… Posted a 1-1 record in singles play at the Colorado College Invitational in his only official singles action of the season… Also went 1-1 with partner Jamison Pfingston in doubles at that tournament… Also played in one dual with Pfingston in the fall at No. 3 doubles… Played other exhibition matches during team duals.
Prep: 2024 graduate of Boise High School… Took second in the state for singles.
Personal: Has not declared a major but is considering becoming a physical therapist… Son of Kathy and Mark Burriesci… Has two younger siblings—Ava and Jace… Enjoys tennis, skiing, hiking, biking and hanging out with friends.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I thought the campus was amazing, and I wanted to join the tennis team. I also really enjoy the outdoors and skiing.”
