Henry Scheck began the final trip of his career with an impressive 6-3, 6-4 win over Adam Vasir at No. 1 singles to give the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks their only team point in a 5-1 loss to the nation's 45
th-ranked Hawai'i Pacific University Sharks on Saturday night here in the Kailua Racquet Club.
The Sharks have now won nine of their last ten duals and are 11-4.
CMU fell to 6-14.
The Sharks took the doubles point as Yannick Heitzeberg and Seth Newman beat Leschig and Scheck, ranked 16
th in the ITA's NCAA Division II Doubles Rankings by a 6-3 margin in the top flight before Mile Matic and Ethan Terry finished off a 6-2 win over the Mavs'
Diogo Manzano and
Emil Hultman at No. 2.
The No. 3 match was left unfinished.
With playing moving on to singles, the Sharks claimed wins at No. 2 and 3 before Scheck prevented the clinch with his top flight victory.
The Sharks then won at No. 4 and 5 to complete the dual.
Luke Burriesci's No. 6 singles match was left unfinished after he fell 6-4 to Rene Gabriel Jung.
The Mavs will remain on O'ahu for two more matches taking on Hawai'i Hilo on Sunday afternoon and Point Loma Nazarene on Monday afternoon in neutral site encounters.
