Men's Basketball adds Mason Farr

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Colorado Mesa head men's basketball coach Mike Dunlap has announced the addition of Mason Farr from American Leadership Academy (Spanish Fork, Utah) on Tuesday (July 15) morning. Farr will be an incoming freshman and be eligible to play for the Mavericks during the upcoming 2025-26 season.

"Mason Farr gives us more size, maturity and someone who knows how to play around the paint, which is so valuable," Dunlap said. "We are always looking for smart and tough kids and Mason is that."

The 6-11, post player received All-State Second Team recognition after averaging 16.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 6.9 blocks per game (led the state of Utah) as a senior. He also shot 59 percent from the and 48 percent from beyond the arc in his final prep season.

Following his graduation in 2023, Farr served a two year church mission in Fiji.

Farr joins previous commits Wes Ball, Kap Laila, Cohenj Gonzales, Clayton Jewell, Ben Henderson, and Yanis Mahoundo in this year's recruiting class.
