NORMAN, Okla. – The GCAA announced their selections for the 2025 Division II PING All-America teams on Thursday (June 19) afternoon. Colorado Mesa's
Cole Beyer was named to the Second Team and becomes just the second Maverick men's golfer to claim All-America honors.
Beyer becomes the program's second All-American and first since Brandon Bingaman was named a Third-team PING All-American in 2013. Previously, Beyer landed on the All-Region Team and became the program's first All-Region selection since 2017 when Trevor McKune made the team.
The Woodburn, Ore. native set the program mark for scoring average during the season finishing at 69.45 and won a program best four events. He had seven top-5 finishes along with eight top-10s in the 12 events the Mavericks played in 2024-25.
He finished at par or better in 26 of his 33 rounds throughout the season and recorded a low round of 63 in the final round to claim victory at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite in early October. He also tallied a 13-under par tournament score of 197 at that event, five shots better than the former Maverick program record for a 54-hole tournament score.
He helped lead the Mavericks to their sixth straight NCAA Super Regional appearance and a No. 29 national team ranking during the season.
