COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa senior golfer Cassidy Phelan has been named the RMAC Academic Women's Golfer of the Year as announced on Thursday (May 22) afternoon. The award and first team honorees are voted on by the sports information directors of the sponsoring schools of women's golf.
 
Senior Cole Beyer earned RMAC Academic First Team honors after graduating with a 3.81 GPA in Geosciences. It is the third time the Woodburn, Ore. native earned Academic First Team honors and is a two-time GCAA All-America Scholar. He earned CSC Academic All-District during last season and will look to make it two in a row this year.
 
Beyer led the Mavericks to a team scoring average record and a sixth straight NCAA Super Regional appearance. He smashed the program record for scoring average with a 69.45 stroke average and won four tournaments this season, also a program record. He earned PING All-South Central Region honors a first for Colorado Mesa since 2017 and was ranked No. 8 in the SCOREBOARD national individual rankings.
 
Sophomore Baptiste Laborde earned RMAC Academic Honor Roll accolades with a 3.66 GPA in Mathematics course work.
 
Redshirt sophomore Julien Harrington was named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll with a 3.83 GPA in Health and Fitness Promotion classes.
