MANSHEIM, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced their Scholar All-America and Team awards recently including the individual Scholar All-America and Scholar Team awards.
Colorado Mesa had the fifth highest team GPA among all NCAA Division II schools with a team GPA of 3.468. Wisconsin-Parkside was the overall NWCA Scholar All-America team champion with a 3.568 GPA.
The Mavericks had a program-best 11 individuals claim NWCA Scholar All-America awards. These outstanding student-athletes have demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following academic and athletic criteria:
- A top eight placer at nationals and at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Competed in a minimum of 15 matches that are recorded in TRACKWRESTLING and has at least a 3.5 Cumulative GPA
- Was a national qualifier and has at least a 3.25 Cumulative GPA
The following student-athlete qualified under the National Qualifier with 3.25 GPA criteria:

The Mavericks had three wrestlers qualify under the top eight placer at the National Tournament and at least a 3.0 GPA but all three have a GPA above a 3.50:
