2024-25 (Redshirt Freshman): Posted an 11-5 record as a key reserve on the Maverick squad at 141 and 149 pounds… Wrestled in three open tournaments while getting two dual meet starts at 149 pounds, winning both against CSU Pueblo and Mines… Also went 5-1 with five bonus point wins in the 141-pound bracket at the Nebraska-Kearney Younes Hospitality Open... Named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team... Also selected as a NWCA Scholar All-American.

2023-24 (Freshman): Redshirt season… Went 11-5 in four open tournaments as an unattached wrestler… Won his last eight matches, placing third at the Western Colorado Open before winning the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open… Wrestled at 141 pounds in those tournaments after going at 149 pounds in his first two… Had six wins by fall and nine bonus point margin victories.

Prep: 2023 graduate of Palisade High School…. Finished third at the 4A state tournament as a senior after taking second as a junior in 2022.

Personal: Is majoring in computer information systems… Son of Jess and Jodi Young… Has one younger sibling— Teagan... Enjoys mountain biking, fishing- and hiking.
