Cole Beyer was named the RMAC Men's Golfer of the Week for the second time this season following his outstanding performance at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic.
Beyer earned his third medalist honor this week winning the Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Ariz. The Woodburn, Oregon native opened the tournament with a strong two-under-par 70, then caught fire in the final two rounds—firing a blistering 65 (-7) followed by a 66 (-6), capturing the 54-hole title. On his way to the top of the leaderboard, Beyer def defeated 12 nationally ranked competitors, including fifth-ranked Seth Bearden of Midwestern State.
The senior has lowered his stroke average to 68.89 and has eight top-10s this season. His score of 201 at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic is his second best 54-hole score of the season next to his 197 he shot at the Ryan Palmer Invite in October.
Beyer and the Mavericks will be in action at the RMAC Championships beginning on April 20 at Boulder Creek Golf Course.
