Ty Allred,
Yaak Yaak and
Will Mortimore all earned spots on the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's All-Conference Teams, which were announced in the conference's post-season awards releasee on Thursday afternoon following voting from RMAC Head Coaches.
Allred was selected as a first team selection while Yaak picked up second team honors. Mortimore was an honorable mention selection after the trio helped the Mavericks to a solid 19-9 season and a third place finish in the RMAC standings with a 13-7 conference record.
Allred, a redshirt junior from Mona, Utah, led the Mavericks in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per game to rank eighth in the conference statics. He also ranked seventh in the RMAC with his 6.4 rebounding per game average and was the only Maverick to start all 29 games, averaging nearly 33 minutes (32.7) per game.
Allred was in double digits for scoring in 24 of the Mavs' 29 games and scored a season-high 27 against UCCS on Dec. 5.
The versatile 6-foot-9 guard also led the Mavs with 60 3-pointers and shot 37.5 percent from beyond the arc while making 83.3 percent of his 96 free throw attempts to rank sixth in the conference for free throw percentage.
Yaak, a sophomore out of Adelaide, Australia, was one of the conference's most dangerous defensive threats this season. He the RMAC with 50 blocked shots and finished the season with 10.6-point and 6.2-rebound per game averages. The 6-foot-11 center also recorded four double-doubles throughout the season to rank second on the team and is ninth in the RMAC for rebounding.
Rounding out the team's picks is Mortimore, a 6-foot-8 native of Maitland, Australia, who was selected to the honorable mention squad after having a dominant freshman season. Starting in 23 of the team's 29 games this season, Mortimore averaged 11.0 points while grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game to lead the Mavs in that category.
He sits sixth in the conference for rebounding and led the team in double-doubles with six. He also led the Mavs with his .536 field goal percentage.
